2025-2026 Men's Tennis Preview
With the first days of classes behind us, the Royals tennis teams will begin their fall competition season the second weekend of September. While the majority of the Royals season will be in the spring, the fall will still serve as valuable match play with the men's team competing in 5 dual matches, two invitationals, and the regional ITA Championships.
The men's team lineup returns the core of the team from the past season, anchored by four seasoned juniors. Felippe Amore, Benjamin Barrios, Igor Parolis, and Miguel Sanchez Loo have been solid fixtures in the top 6 lineup throughout the last two seasons. With a combined 82 college wins between them, these four will play a key role in this upcoming year. These four will be joined by a quartet of four returning sophomores, Emanuel Casco, Kamden Colter, Levi Lubbers, and Gabor Szabo. Finally, the Royals squad will be completed with a trio of freshmen, Lennart Kleeberg, Quinn Wilkerson, and Pedro Matuck (who intends to take a medical redshirt).
Coach Hale's Take: "We have a really rare situation where the majority of our team from last year is back and ready to take a big step forward. Since the end of last season, our guys have been pushing it in the offseason, texting each other and ready to come back this semester better than ever. I think we've filled some holes with the incoming freshmen and I can't wait to get competing this fall."
Up Next: The Royals kick things off this weekend at the King Hidden Dual on September 13th where they will face players from Carson Newman, Bluefield State, and UVA-Wise.
