The Royals women's volleyball team secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Spartanburg Methodist on October 4, 2025, at Bridges Arena in Spartanburg, SC. This win further solidifies their strong season performance, enhancing their record to 16-4 overall and 5-1 in the AAC.
In the first set, the Royals took the lead with a 25-21 finish, setting the tone for the match. They continued their strong play into the second set, narrowly edging out Spartanburg Methodist 25-23. The third set mirrored the first, with Johnson University wrapping up the match with another 25-21 set win.
Key players significantly contributed to the Royals' success. Abigail Brown led the team with 12 kills followed by Makiyah Greenlee and Luci Morris, who each added 8 kills. In blocks, Ariah Gourley stood out with 3 blocks, aiding the team's defensive efforts amidst a tightly contested game.
