KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals traveled to take on AAC opponent Truett McConnell on 4/14 and 4/15, where they were swept by the Bears, losing 3-7, 2-8, and 3-9.
Jacob Smith and Braden Ott tied for the team lead with 3 strikeouts, while Austin Mitchell added 2 strikeouts.
Pierce Durham, Will Varner, Kenny Naysmith, and Bryson Shown each had 3 hits to tie for the team lead. Bryson Shown added a home run on the series as well.
Brayden Taylor led the Royals on the basepaths with a pair of stolen bases, while Luke Vest and Will Varner each added a stolen base as well.
The Royals will look to turn things around on 4/21 when they travel to take on another AAC opponent in Bluefield.
